Jasper Folk Music Festival
The Jasper Folk Music Festival is our small town’s end-of-summer celebration. It’s a laid-back mountain weekend full of live music, dancing, friends, families, cold drinks, and that golden September-in-the-Rockies kind of magic.
And despite the name, it’s not just folk music.
You’ll hear roots, rhythm, blues, indie, country, soul, rock, singer-songwriters, and whatever else gets people smiling, swaying, or kicking up dust in front of the stage. In 2026, we’re proud to feature an all-Canadian lineup, bringing artists from across the country to play in one of the most beautiful mountain towns on earth.
The festival has deep roots in Jasper. For twenty years, our town hosted the beloved Jasper Heritage Folk Festival, and in 2013, the Jasper Folk Music Festival picked up the tune and brought live music back to the fall calendar. Since then, it’s grown into a weekend that feels very Jasper: welcoming, a little quirky, family-friendly, community-minded, and best enjoyed with good people around you.
We’re a registered non-profit run by people who believe live music makes a town better. Our goal is simple: bring great Canadian artists to Jasper, create space for locals and visitors to come together, and keep building a festival with real heart.
Whether you’re a local, a visitor, a family with kids, a beer-in-hand mountain person, an artsy-fartsy music lover, or just someone looking for a good reason to dance outside in September… you’re invited.
Come for the music. Stay for the mountains. Leave with a full heart and sore dancing feet.
